  1. Tasks, Projects & People Installation from BBS ZIP file
  2.  
  3. 1. Make sure your system contains the Microsoft VBRUN300.DLL
  4.     file in your \WINDOWS, or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  5.     This file contains Visual Basic runtime routines
  6.     required by TPP. This .DLL is available from the
  7.     following sources:
  8.  
  9.         Microsoft BBS at 1-206-936-6735
  10.         Download VBRUN300.EXE
  11.  
  12.         Compuserve - Go MSL and download VBRUN300.EXE.
  13.  
  14.         Our own Patri-Soft BBS at 909-352-2825.
  15.         Download VBRUN300.EXE
  16.  
  17.         Other BBS systems
  18.  
  19.     If you get VBRUN300.EXE from any BBS, copy it into
  20.     a work directory. Execute the self extracting compressed
  21.     file by typing VBRUN300 from the DOS promot. Copy the
  22.     resulting VBRUN300.DLL to your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  23.     directory by using the following command.
  24.         COPY VBRUN300.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM

  26.     After you have confirmed TPP is working, you can delete
  27.     VBRUN300.EXE. It is only used to create VBRUN300.DLL.

  29. 2. Since you are already reading this installation file we assume
  30.     you have already created an installation directory on your
  31.     hard disk. If so, go to step 5.
  32.  
  33.     Make an installation directory on your hard drive to
  34.     contain the installation files.  Any directory name
  35.     is fine. For example:

  37.            MD C:\TPPINST
  38.  
  39.  
  40. 3. Change to that directory
  41.  
  42.            CD C:\TPPINST
  43.  
  44.  
  45. 4. Unzip into that directory the TPP installation files. After this
  46.     step, these files are still in compressed format so they
  47.     must go through a normal Windows installation process.
  48.     Use the following command to unload the installation files
  49.     to your hard disk:

  51.            PKUNZIP A:\TPP12.ZIP

  54. 5. Enter the Windows Program Manager
  55.  
  56.  
  57. 6. Run the TPP Setup program to install the software in its final format.
  58.         alt-f  - to select the FILE menu item
  59.         R      - to select the RUN menu item
  60.         enter C:\TPPINST\SETUP  - to run setup (use your directory name)
  61.         Click the OK button to start setup

  64. 7. After setup completes, remove the TPPINST temporary directory..
  65.         DEL C:\TPPINST\*.*
  66.         RD  C:\TPPINST
  67.  
  68. 8. Examine the created Tasks, Projects & People Group in the Windows
  69.     Program Manager and select the TPP icon to start TPP.
  70.  
  71. 9. Be sure to remember to look at the Quick Start help
  72.    and the Light Bulb button on the main screen for
  73.    quick start information.
